Since the start, Hagnesia has worked tirelessly to develop the technology from idea to machine, validating it through a number of research projects.

Step by step, we now continue to build the team, know-how, capabilities and collaborations needed to prove and improve the technology for different customer applications.

Experimental validation

The development and experimental validation of the core technology has been the focus of Hagnesia since the start. Different research projects has enabled us to elevate our technology readiness level (TRL) from proof of concept of key components to building and testing full machine prototypes. Such projects are crucial since they increase the recognition of and confidence in our technology while also helping us constantly improve the quality of our motors and generators.

Optimizing for impact

Through higher efficiency and massive material savings, Hagnesia’s technology will have a disruptive sustainability impact, where economic, social and environmental sustainability goes hand in hand with cutting costs, energy losses and raw material use. By optimizing the design for maximum positive impact at system level, we empower our customers to roll out even more clean and competetive solutions for the low-carbon future.

Hagnesia firmly believes in the strength of building in-house expertise and manufacturing capabilities for all critical parts of the machine. This includes building custom tools, parts and sub-assemblies, power electronics, assembly lines and testing capabilities.

Research collaborations

Hagnesia is involved in several Swedish and European research collaborations, with the overall aim to verify and optimize the technology’s performance and potential impact in different industries. By teaming up with the very best universities and research institutes, we gain valuable insights of and endorsements for how our technology can help accelerate the green energy transition.

Customer solutions

By working systematically with modularity and scalability, in both design and manufacturing, we have the possibility to offer a customized and efficient design and customer adaptation process.

Based on a first dialogue around the operational and value-driving parameters from a customer perspective, we are able to quickly identify key design and performance parameters of the intended Hagnesia motors and generators. 

Such dialogues have been the starting point of several joint projects, where Hagnesia design and build machines to fit specific customer applications.
